Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

We've had a fun but busy holiday season.  This is our belated Christmas card for the year;)

We started our Advent celebration the weekend after Thanksgiving and have tried to tie in all of our regular activities to help focus our hearts and help the kiddos understand the real reason we celebrate.  We are grateful to God for all of His many blessings this year and most importantly for our salvation through Jesus Christ.

We started our festivities with a puppet show while visiting Daddy's side of the family for Thanksgiving and Christmas combined.  The kids had a blast with all the cousins.  We also made a visit to the Children's Museum and had tons of fun playing at Grampa and Gramma's toy collection.

Decorating our Tree

The kids have more freedom with this one and it gets decorated and re-decorated throughout the season.
Family Fun
Our favorite part of our family Christmas celebration this year was seeing the excitement on McB's face as he passed out the gifts that he purchased from the AWANA's store for each member of the family.  He did a wonderful job selecting gifts for each person.
IP has figured out this "opening presents" thing and had a great time tearing into his gifts this year.  He is still most excited by finding a ball inside, despite all attempts to get him interested in anything else.
Each of the kids had one surprise from Daddy and Mommy waiting for them out in the cold.

Christmas Eve
We started the day with an early family breakfast and advent devotional....
....followed by stockings:)

Christmas at PawPaw and Granny's House
2 more will be added to this group next year:)
Here is one of my favorite pics of the three of them.
Hiding their eyes before the revealing of their new trampoline that was hidden in the barn.
McB had lots of time to learn how to ride his new bike.  He still needs some practice but was picking it up pretty well by the end of the weekend.
IP loves to borrow Granny's decorative tricycle and ride/walk it through the house.

Trying out his rock n roll skills.

 Cousin Fun

This is what happens when your only experience with paint is making handprint crafts with the help of mommy or a teacher at mdo.

The girls loved having their toes done by Aunt Lisa.

 New Year's Eve

We spent the day on the ice.  McB hated skating but enjoyed watching everyone else from the sidelines.  SLiM enjoyed it more her 2nd time around the rink and IP loved every minute of it except for when we had to return his ice skates.  He has a thing for shoes.

We ended the evening an hour or so before midnight with a few sparklers.

God's blessings to all of our family and friends in 2015!

Oh, here are a few things I missed in the blog for the past year:

McB started Kindergarten this past fall.
