more week 1

Will those who voted for a boy, please stand up.

Well, after 2 weeks of bed rest due to high blood pressure, and 2 overnight stays in the hospital, the long anticipated day had finally arrived (8 days after the April 7 due date), and the doctor wasn't going to let us talk him out of inducing this time. We checked in at the hospital on April 15, 2009 and after a long night of contractions and no sleep, the inducing medication was started. Eight and a half hours later, on April 16, 2009, at 2:35 pm, our baby boy, McB was born, weighing in at 7 lb 15 oz, with a length of 21 inches and a full head of black hair! Mrs. B was AMAZING, and glory to God, was able to deliver our beautiful baby boy (and I'm not biased...). The nurses at the hospital were so helpful, especially our nurse friend who came on her day off just in time to coach us through the labor and birth. We are in such awe of God and that He has chosen us to be McB's parents. It is an exciting, yet humbling privilege that we will need God's guidance and your prayers to do well.
