8 Months

8 Months and on the move!  He went from barely sitting to crawling and pulling to stand about a week after my last post.  He usually crashes after pulling to stand but he keeps at it.  IP loves his big sis and big bro and tries his best to keep up with them.  He is pretty excited about the new skill of clapping that his big bro taught him while sitting in their car seats today.  All three of these little blessings are a ton of fun to be around.  It's been a busy month but we've had a blast!

Our 1st Family of 5 Camping Trip

We found that camping with all 5 of us is lots of fun and LOTS of work...but worth it....well, IP may not agree with that statement just yet.  It was HOT!  He was happy when he was able to sit in his car seat in the ac as we made a trip to the camp store and the Garner dance.  McB and SLiM LOVED dancing.  We did not get many pics b/c, like I said, camping was work.

Catching up on a few zzzzzzzzzzz's that he missed the night before.

IP and SLiM tagged along on our hike to Circle Bluff at the HEB Foundation Camp.  Mommy and Daddy got a good workout.

7 Months

We have a happy and ACTIVE 7 month old.  I'm sure he will be crawling by his next month day.  He gets up on all 4's and launches himself towards whatever he is reaching for.  He is starting to move his arms a bit during his attempts to crawl but can't quite get his legs to cooperate.  He works on it constantly.  We've even caught him on the monitor in the early mornings in his crib...he must get tired because he goes back to sleep for another hour or so.  He is full of smiles and is trying his best to keep up with McB and SLiM.

Check out his 1st tooth.
Mommy found him in this pose during his tummy time in the morning while mommy was trying to get ready for church.  He uses his rolling or scooting skills to get where he wants to go.
Taking big bro and big sis to school.

It's a group effort to keep this boy fed.  He LOVES to eat!

It's hard to tell from the pics below, but we really did have a fun day at Sea World.

4 Years Old!

McB is adjusting to the idea that he is 4...he really liked being 3.  He was adamant about his birthday not really being his birthday until his party...well, he also told his daddy on the phone at breakfast that he would not be 4 until 2:35 (this after Mom told him he was born at 2:35 in the afternoon).  We celebrated with a dinosaur theme this year.  McB is into watching dinosaur documentaries(as long as there is not too much talking and too little footage of dinosaurs in action)...with explanation from Mom or Dad of what we believe happened with the dinosaurs. Google Answers in Genesis or read Evolution of a Creationist if you are interested in finding out more about that.  He had fun with all of his buddies, cracking dinosaur eggs, digging for dinosaurs in the sand, and playing pin the skull on the dino.

Dinosaur eggs with "baby" toy dinosaurs inside.  Thanks to Gramma and Grampa for helping create these.

Here are some shots of McB and his friends digging for dinosaurs.

This was hilarious.  Only a few were brave enough to try with the blindfold...4 is probably a little early to attempt any organized party games.

Cake!
Here is the McB/Daddy Birthday celebration on Daddy's Birthday.
Here is McB blowing out candles and enjoying his cupcake.

Presents were a bigger deal this year.
Here is his tool set from Gramma and Grampa.

We took advantage of what is probably our one and only chance to wrap a bike in a box.

Here is McB's 1st attempt at riding his balance bike... notice no pedals.  The idea is for him to use his feet to propel it as he develops some balance skills and eventually is able to cruise for short distances while holding his feet up or propping them on the bike.

McB told us that this was his favorite part of the party.  Daddy made a sled out of the bike box.  McB, his friend Giddy-Up and SLiM all climbed into the box for a ride.  They are all hiding inside the box.

SLiM decided to try standing...and did quite well;)

We celebrated with the Littlefield's a little late.
All the Grandkids with Granny and Paw Paw.

Daddy boiled shrimp and crawfish for the party.  Here is a pic of all the kiddos checking out the live crawfish and being very careful not to get too close.

6 Months

Half a year! Wow, time is flying by.  IP is changing fast.  He is almost sitting independently and he can scoot and roll to get pretty much anything he wants on the floor.  He gets to play in  his cage instead of the open floor now unless someone is with him to supervise his adventures and protect him from his wild and crazy brother and sister.  This month, he has been introduced to playing in the grass, hiking, swinging, and eating food that has a little bit of taste to it.

Mommy and Daddy celebrated 7 years.  IP got to tag along.

Daddy finally put the 2nd bike seat on his bike but the day he decided to take SLiM and McB for a spin, a random hail storm blew in...seriously.

 Making Easter cookies.

Hunting Eggs.

It's a workout for Mommy to keep everyone swinging at the same time.

He is a happy camper in his swing.

This is the reason why we don't watch much TV around here.  Here is a shot of McB and SLiM (in the zone) watching Shawn the Sheep...it's a family favorite.

Enjoying some sweet potatos.

Training for Camp Eagle.  We survived a 3 mile rocky, steep climb to experience a beautiful view as we caught our breath, rested our legs, and questioned why exactly we decided to do this with a double stroller.
