2 years

SLiM is 2!!!

She loves horses, coloring, taking care of her baby dolls, playing in her play kitchen and playing outside...and pretty much whatever McB loves:)  You would not stand a chance in beating her in a staring contest.  She has a great personality but she keeps it hidden while she is in the process of very seriously assessing her surroundings in new environments....that is pretty much anyplace or any face other than what she is comfortable with in her own home.  She has just transitioned into a "big girl" toddler bed, she only gets her beloved paci at night and during naps, and she is trying to convince us that she is ready to use the "big kid" potty...it's more the idea of "big girl" pants that she is excited about.

We started SLiM's Birthday celebration a few wks ago when Grampa and Gramma visited.

Feeding her horse (off of her horse birthday pie) an Easter egg in her play kitchen while wearing her fairy wings from Grampa and Gramma.

Her actual Birthday fell on a Sunday, so, we had a little party with all of her nursery buddies.

Everyone had a blast with the balloons while waiting on the pizza to arrive.
Horse cupcakes

SLiM making her "fav horse" cupcake selection.  She loves making decisions on bows, clothes, shoes and horse cupcakes, saying, "pick one."

She was not thrilled with being the COA during the Happy Birthday song.   She even asked McB to blow out her candles.

Opening her gift from her family

We ended the day with the last of the cupcakes around the dinner table together as a family.
The Happy Birthday song went over much better when it was just our family at home.

Here are a few shots of her feeding her doll in IP's bumbo, and playing with a few of her other favorite toys.

Here is our updated sister's prego pic.  At the time of this post, we actually have another baby to add to the pic.  Baby C arrived on the 15th.  We hope to go and meet her soon and add her to the pic.

3 Months

3 Months...really?!?

Here is a pic of our happy and growing 3 month old little man.

Hang'n with his silly brother and sister.

McB "reading" to his siblings.
A cold but fun trip to the zoo.  Mommy's 1st major outing with 3...met up with some friends at the zoo that helped make it possible;)

Remember the sisters' prego pic back on the "Moss Summer" post?  Well, IP was the 1st of 3 new cousin's to arrive.  #2 and #3 should be here in the next month or maybe 2's post.
Cousin time after the baby shower:))
We are getting better with our sleeping/schedule skills, but this is IP refusing to wake up for his last feeding of the day a few nights ago.

Merry Christmas!

We spent the month of December preparing our hearts for Christmas with Advent.  Here are a few shots from our Christmas lights adventure in a nearby town.  It was fun watching the kids run and play together as they explored with excitement.  IP even enjoyed looking at the lights.

Daddy, SLiM and McB looking up into the  trees filled with lights that look like leaves, some of them were made to appear to be falling like rain drops through the trees.

We spent a fun filled 4 day weekend, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at
Granny and PawPaw's house.
Family photo on Christmas Eve

The local volunteer fire department made a special trip down Granny and PawPaw's long driveway to surprise a few grandkids.  One of the perks of living in a very small town:)  McB was just a bit excited about the truck...can you find him in the pic with santa?  He didn't even panic when the siren went off.

We watched cousin E and C perform in their Christmas Eve program at their church.
Blowing out the candles was the highlight of our Advent devotionals throughout the entire month.
Making a birthday cake for Jesus
Riding horses
These two, cousin C(blue tractor) and McB(red tractor), had a blast together.  They both have crazy imaginations.

Texas Weather;) 70's for most of the weekend and then REALLY cold  Christmas night.

We celebrated Christmas at home a day late.

Christmas presents from Momma and Daddy

Sweet Boy

The best part of the Christmas presents from Momma and Daddy was the boxes that they came in.  They have been used to build forts, tents, and houses.  The bean bags have been dubbed "food bags" by McB when he didn't quite remember the name of them.

2 Months

Moss Family Thanksgiving
The Moss cousins

Campfire and smores at KK & LL's house

These two were just a bit excited about going to cousin KK's house to have a camp-out in the living room under a sheet tent with Daddy and Uncle Jer.  This is McB's "hurry up and take the pic" pose.  You probably noticed in the "Moss cousins" pic above that he and SLiM were not exactly in a picture taking mood that weekend.

We had lots of fun decorating our home for Christmas.  It was done in stages this yr b/c of a little chaos around our house and a busy schedule this yr.  Our ornaments are not organized quite as well as they usually are b/c of two kiddos that had a great time deciding where they should hang them with a 2 month old supervising from his bouncer.

Here is a pic of a "tent" Mom made for the kids in the living room. McB corrected Mom and informed her that it was a "brown race car" and not a tent.

Here is a shot of McB and SLiM driving the brown race car.
