IP's 1st Photo shoot

Posing with Big Bro and Sis
He loves kisses.

Meeting Aunt MB, Uncle Layne,  Aunt Lisa and cousins E & C.

Fun at the pumpkin patch with Granny and the cousins.

County fair with Daddy.  You may not be able to tell from the pic but Mom and Daddy let McB and SLiM ride a big kid ride.  The looks on their faces were shear terror and SLiM kept her "protective arm" across McB for the entire ride.  Neither cried but both were full of smiles when it ended safely.

Serious talk with Daddy and Big Bro.
                                      Cuddling in the cozy bed.

Family of 5

IT's A BOY!

IP (we have not settled on a blog nickname yet, so we’ll call him IP for now) has finally arrived in normal Moss fashion…late…but only 7 days this time…we are getting better!  IP was born on 10/8/12 at 5:15pm, weighing 7 lb 15 oz and 20 ¼” of pure baby BOY.  After a false alarm on Saturday (momma’s contractions were 5 to 10 min apart, but quit by 4:30 am…yeah, it was a rough night for momma), we drove to the hospital Monday morning for our 7:30 appointment for our scheduled induction (actually, arrived at 7:40, my bad, but what did you expect).  We found out that IP had wrestled himself into a funny position, which is likely why the contractions had stopped on Saturday night.  By 1:00 Monday afternoon, the Pitocin had been started and contractions were well on their way. After walking around the hospital for a short while, active labor set in.  Our friend arrived around 5 to deliver, as things started to happen really fast and we soon exclaimed…”It’s a BOY!”  Becky was sustained with prayer and the strength of the Lord through her exhaustion, and successfully brought this beautiful baby into our arms and lives.  All praise belongs to the God of our salvation!  Please pray for Momma’s strength and recovery, and IP to grow strong and healthy.  Most importantly, pray that the Lord will be his salvation, as his name represents, God is my salvation.

"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2 ESV - [2]

Moss Summer

We've had a great summer but it has flown by toooo fast. Here are a few of the things we've been up to around our house.

Helping Daddy wash the car.

Staying cool with cold snacks...trying to get it off the ground before it melts.

Playing in the water.

Picnic at the spray park.

Trying to teach some independence in daily activities before baby #3 arrives.

Reading!
We celebrated the 4th of July at Sea World.  Both of the kiddos LOVED it, and we loved seeing their reactions to all of the cool creatures and their tricks.

It was a bit hot that day.

Time with the grands and the cousins.

Swimming with Grampa and Gramma in our backyard.

Swimming with cousins E and C in Granny and PawPaw's backyard.

Hangin with PawPaw and Granny.

3 more grandbabies on the way.
The 3 sisters will be prego together for a short time.  We don't have much longer to go until baby #3 is here.  We also have a new cousin that we have not met yet in GP.  We hope to see him soon!

Our biggest event of the summer was our trip to the coast for a few days.  We had a blast and hope to do it again someday and maybe stay longer.  While we were there, McB walked up with a baby sea turtle in his hand.  Apparently, you are not supposed to touch them since they are endangered but the Turtle Patrol cut us some slack since it was a 3 yr old who caught it...or should I say rescued it:)  The Turtle Patrol took the turtle to a near-by rehab center to make sure everything was ok before releasing it back into the water.  Both kiddos LOVED the sand and the birds.  They enjoyed the water in the evenings when the waves died down a bit.

Our little Marine Biologist.  I should mention that his fav movie before and esp after the trip is Turtle Tales.  He named the turtle "Sammy" after the main character in the movie.

SLiM loved the birds.  She chased them everywhere...and shared her food with them.

Reading time in the "cozy" beds in our condo.

McB did not forget about the shark we passed on our way to the beach.  We had to stop on our way home and get a pic.  He was on the lookout for sharks the entire time he was in or near the water.  When asked what his favorite thing was about the beach, after our 1st night there, he said, "I like the pool b/c a shark got me at the beach"...he did have a little cut on his big toe after being in the water.  He was also quite frightened by the crab holes in the sand on the 1st evening that we played out at the beach.  In the end, his love for digging in the sand outweighed his fear and he was able to have a great time at the beach.

Coming October 1st!

For those of you who don't know, we're expecting baby #3.  He/She will be here soon and we are all excited.  Big Bro loves feeling baby kick and he is hoping for a little brother.  Big Sis doesn't really know what's going on but she loves kissing momma's tummy.  We are really excited.
