2 Months

It's been a busy and FUN month!

Here is a shot of Cwa in her party dress. We thought about photoshopping this shot to show off her dancing moves:)

She had her 1st play date with her friend A.G. This is how it works for a 2 month old playdate:) 1st one baby cries while the other is happy, and then they quickly switch roles.

McB was reminiscing his days playing under the jungle toy. Cwa is a fan of this toy too.

Hers says "little sister" and his says "I'm the BIG brother". He is getting really big.

McB helps mommy read to Cwa. It's funny how much of the books he has memorized.

Outings to the park. It takes us a little bit longer to get going these days:)

We spent a day at the zoo with the cousins. We had a blast but I wouldn't recommend the zoo on Spring Break;)

We hung out with Aunt MB and Uncle Layne at an Aggie Baseball game.

McB can say Gig' em now.

"Silly Face"

We watched a real live hockey game for the 1st time in SA.

We were up in a sky box with daddy's work crew and fairly safe from flying objects from below.

McB had fun cheering with his friend Jolie.

Mommy and Daddy celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary this month. Our gift to each other this yr was a cd of all of our wedding pics. Hopefully you'll get to see a few in a future post:)

Checking out the menu.

1 Month

Wow, it's really been a month! (actually;) she is 6wks today, but all of these pics were taken during her 1st month) We are a little slow on our blogging these days. Life has changed around our house, but we are enjoying every minute of it.

We made it to family camp at 3 wks of age. McB had lots of daddy time and mom and Cwa hung out in the cabin for the most part.

Little Aggie

McB also hung out with his bud Giddy-up. Yes, they're playing in a huge fireplace and probably eating off the floor. He collected all kinds of germs that weekend.

Cwa still spends most of her time sleeping but she's starting to smile more often. She loves to smile at faces, esp. for her mama;)

She loves her bath. Sometimes, McB gets to help.

He is getting better at holding her.

He is really great at entertaining himself...esp if he gets to read all of Cwa's new books. Hopefully, one day he'll be able to read them to her:)

Our Sweet Baby Girl is Here!

Whoever said no 2 children are the same, must have had more than one child...

We are excited to announce the arrival of our beautiful DAUGHTER in the house! Cwa (blog name given by big brother:) was born on Thursday 2/3/11 at 9:34 pm, 8 days after her due date, 19 inches long, 6lb 10oz. From the beginning of her life, Cwa has been all together different than her older brother, McB. The pregnancy was entirely different including more sickness at the beginning, but easier carry at the end.

We enjoyed the anticipation of waiting to find out if our baby was a boy or girl. Wed night 2/2/2011, Mom's birthday, she experienced significant contractions ranging 6 to 18 minutes apart. We knew it was close. Thursday morning, after I made a quick stop at work, we calmly made our way to the hospital to monitor the baby. After a few hours of monitoring, and slowly progressing labor, we decided to stay at the hospital, which happened to be a very good decision. After an afternoon of minimal contractions, around 4:30, Mom entered active labor. She was amazing (I am biased, but it really is true!!!) as she relied on Scripture and the strength God gave her to bear the contractions and eventually deliver our baby! (Hupomeno!) The labor and delivery was without medical complication, glory to God! We had the joy of announcing the gender of our newborn upon delivery. That was a special moment for us both, as she was presented to us and we joyously exclaimed together, "A GIRL!" It has been so delightful just staring at the beautiful daughter God has blessed us with and watching McB love his "baby sisser." So many new thoughts enter my mind w/ having a daughter, and I know I must rely on God and do my best to bring her up in the way of the Lord. We ask for your prayers for wisdom, patience and trust in God. Praise God!

Here is a shot of the welcome home party.

Signs of Change

We'll just say, our home is getting really cozy. Everything has about 1 place it can fit. Shelves, bookcases and closets are packed tight. We'll see if we're still saying "cozy" in a few months. Hopefully things continue to get put back in their 1 place:)
If you look back to our 2nd blog post, you'll see a few changes have been made to this room. McB will no longer be the only person residing in the nursery. We set up his new toddler bed in the corner. We are still THINKING about making that transition:) I have a hunch that the new baby will get to camp out in mom and dad's room a little longer than McB did. Here is our to do list over the next few months:
1) Get baby on a schedule.
2) Transition McB to a toddler bed.
3) Move new baby to crib.
4) Potty train McB;)
Wow, lifes about to get really exciting!

I'm serious about the closets being packed, or maybe I should say stuffed.
This one belongs to McB and the baby. I'm not sharing any pictures of mine.

Mom's chair and McB's book collection got moved out to a corner in the living room.

Baby will camp out in the corner of mom and dad's room for a few?????

9 months:)
